Suggest you get a start on it, by the sheer size it’ll be yonks before lineage, roots, and bloodlines resolve from the blur. πŸ˜›

Thanks, it’s Windows Terminal 1.19 they use in Gramps, surprisingly no copy as such in the TL menu, but an export text function which could be handy. In Settings>Actions you can redefine the keys as well. In the meantime, the GUI turns out to be less of a user memory hog. πŸ˜›
Related is the debug logging system Nick links onto at the end of this thread. Logging doesn’t appear to be configured in the gui at all, rather through script, console commands, or command line parameters, which might be a bit awkward for some. πŸ™

Fetch box is on the way, so once activated, there’s no going back to the TTV. The service operator said they were fine, mustering the temerity for the riposte “fine, for landfill?” not on tap. πŸ˜›
Acquired a nice clock like this the other day:
        Belvedere Clock
Didn’t realize the url link for the clock is the actual image – cool!
Digital clocks are passΓ©, and so are the keys that wind them, and if anything gets lost in clockland, the keys go first. As there is a dearth of “Swiss Army Knife” digital clock keys, procuring the right key for the clock can be a lengthy and expensive operation. Instead, the decision here is to try out a bunch of micro tweezers from Ali Express, the worst case is if they don’t come in handy for splinters and the like, they’ll make a wonderful gift for icky friends & foes at Tweezermas. πŸ˜›

Lucky you! If undamaged, might be worth something, especially to those who reported it missing from their art deco dungeon floor traps collection yonks ago. πŸ˜›
The Telstra TV3 Roki box, for all its shortcomings, has now found itself in perfect condition with a friendly, stable interface, and 100% proven reliability of service. The good times will not last, as it will be unceremoniously decommissioned by the provider, the cheapest replacement being is a Fetch mini.
The old TTV box will not remain a relic on these premises because the providers are accepting returns, which shows they care, in a roundabout Roki kind of way. πŸ™‚

The categorization of comedy is funny in many of these type of movies, funny in that

              • It was either too tragic or not tragic enough not to be tragic, so it had to be comedy.
              • As attempts by the movie-makers of light heartedness or jollity in each dramatic event of the movie failed to fire, a critique of the resulting concatenation of the misfired events had to be made in a comical context, in light of the argument that comedy is defined as the whole not being the sum of the parts.
              • It was comedy enough for the creators of the movie to even conceive of the notion others would even be discussing this dilemma.

Barbershop: The Next Cut is a no-nonsense movie with a no-nonsense and fast paced dialogue, so very much a comedy. Lots of fun, not all quite to the sweet spot this way. πŸ™‚
Almost to the end of Dark Winds (series 1), disappointed with the scripted decision making of some of the characters, particularly the FBI agent, so the whole thing comes off as a bit hokey. Plenty of Navajo lore in there, and the ominous cloud sequence is a plus.

Grading and cover pricing are relatively recent developments in comic pubs, there’s thread on grading and Cvr pricing over at Reddit. Back in the day, comic syndication was the province of newspaper editors, as a replacements these on first spec come across as an elaborate way of increasing revenue for Mr. Middleman!

There’s obviously more to it, so waiting with bated breath for more developments at portals such as BeachBum Comics, which hopefully turn up commingled with streamlined prices at the checkout. πŸ™‚

There’s mention here of the differences of Master Duel with TCG and OCG, is it aligned to one more than the other, or indeed enough for a separate MDCG category?

Went ahead and swapped the SIMS, now the new SIM functions in the new tablet. H’ray. The old tablet and SIM Device Info won’t recognize the old SIM – it is surely inserted correctly, aw welp.
Now we can turn to other performance issues, the first thing that stands out is all these Office365_like apps requiring complex key input combinations installed. The tablet keyboard might accommodate for tiny hands and fingers, here it’s pretty much a one finger ding dong affair with a tendency to slow down the pace.
Haven’t really tried out anything with complex game engines yet – are there some providing “simple” keyboard (“pad”) interaction?

Have an old piano in the recess underneath the house, a Rosenkranz beauty which, despite a broken leg, lusts for a restorer’s touch and a good old tune up.
Front panel of Rosenkranz upright piano
It’s similar in design to the piano in the cover image, and the following restoration:

Once had a socket wrench to assist with tuning, a tool of considerable utility now suspected as having done a bunk, so it’s turned out to be a heart wrencher instead. πŸ˜›

Quite an interesting choice for artists, is it not reasonable to use AI in situations where some repetition can be avoided? The AI robot “knows” the artist’s style, and will generate forms in a similar manner to him, and if the result looks too artificial, he just touches it up a little. Who will notice?
$55 is surely a hefty price for the comic book, no doubt a sizable portion of the proceeds will be returned to the artist’s industrious AI developers. πŸ˜›

Yes, life as we know it, and we know that we don’t know too much of what’s out there. For instance, how do we know life (as we don’t know it) might exist within a class of stellar bodies? Creatures perhaps possessing the physical capacity to withstand a few thousand degrees at the sun’s surface, but not the temperatures of the hot corona. Could it be those crafty beings expel those pesky hot energy packets to keep cool? πŸ˜›

For all the fanfare of La-La Land, the character selection was a bit ordinary, methinks something like a Lizzo interlude could have mixed it up a bit. The tracks were cool, a little bit of the 95 piece studio orchestra vibe got lost in the Protools dubbing/synthing somehow (setup explained in Sound on Sound), otherwise very enjoyable, and worth a second look.
Sex, Lies, and Videotape is a remarkably beautiful film, at the closing credits, a poem detailing the unfolding of the layers on a rare fruit revealing a neatly set, but imperfect kernel. The following is an excerpt from the ticket posted to the account by me a week ago re the post at Whirlpool.

                                        A 2016 SAMSUNG GALAXY TABLET TAB A 10.1, and a 2021 SAMSUNG GALAXY TABLET TAB A 8.

The old Aldi SIM in the A10.1 was working fine since activation 4/2018, and up to last week, with no issues in account, reception coverage or anything else.

Inserted a SIM from a $5 starter pack into the A8 tablet about 10 days ago, activated the account (with the same phone number), no response from the device, with “out of service” from the SIM status in Settings.
Manually connecting to Aldi from Settings did not (and will not) work either. The SIM is inserted correctly, after verification with a representative in ALDI store, who indicated there were active bars on the top menu.
So attempted to insert another new ($5 starter pack) SIM in the older A10.1 tablet, and after system recognizing the SIM was inserted, rebooted, but the same “out of service” issue as the A8 cropped up unfortunately.
Then, (woe is me) selected the option of _transferring_ the number from the old SIM to the new SIM in the setup, which now renders the original SIM as completely non-functional, producing a “not provisioned” error. Do have that old 20 digit SIM number, however the 2018 activation code cannot be located, so bringing back the old SIM to life may not be possible.
It is a matter of some urgency, if all else fails, to bring that old (2018) SIM back into service.

The support guy on the phone said the service provider has their own system of support tickets, so, apparently, he didn’t find it necessary to read any of the above blurb. Lucky him. πŸ˜›
The original SIM is now permanently un provisioned, thus unusable.
Many attempts to activate the service on the either SIM with the provider software failed with SIM_not_Found errors, Android spitting out_of_service, cannot_connect etc. Rang first tier support today, they were very patient, the fuzzy landline phone service from their country didn’t help communication. Swapping SIMs didn’t help, they also verified there was never any record in the account of SIM activation back at the end of February, could that have been some kind of glitch, who knows.
Support (re-)activated the second SIM which was at the time inserted in the old tablet. No connection, swapped with the new tablet, still no dice.
After the support call, swapped the SIMs again, tried out SIM Device Info, showed up with no SIM present on the old tablet.
Then, amidst gasps of utter amazement, it showed signs of SIM life on the new tablet, no service though, so swapped SIMS again, so that the old SIM is back in the new tablet, and the new SIM back in the old tablet.
Praise be to SIM Device Info, the SIM is now detected on the new tablet, and detected with active phone service on the old tablet! πŸ™‚
Now, with something working at last, how much of a LOF is it in attempting to coax the new SIM to function on the new tablet, as was the original plan? πŸ˜›
