Decided to go ahead and work on the first dungeon so that I can unlock more of the game. It’s very annoying! It’s a lot of platforming in the sky and if you mistime or misjudge a glide then you have to go back to the beginning and repeat. With more stamina, it wouldn’t be an issue but they want you to do this one before anything else. I really dislike platforming over pits like this 😛
Have you run the Windows error checking tool? Granted, in my experience, it doesn’t do a whole lot but never hurts to check!
Oh, it’s for DOS then? Definitely won’t be playing it on the laptop, then. Even YouTube videos cause it to rev up! 😛 I’d also need to get an external disc drive. I really miss computers having disc drives built in. Makes it very hard to listen to my music CDs while I work 🙁
Thanks! Will make a note of those links!
So Amazon sent me an update on the guide book pre-order: “We’re sorry for the inconvenience but the item is now releasing a week earlier.” 😛
😀
Cool! Somewhere, I saw bars of soap in the shapes of dice. 😀
Yuck! They really need to improve these things 🙁
I need to get the lava lamps back up and running. Haven’t used them in years and really need to change that 😛
Will do 🙂
Always sad when they just do away with the content instead of archiving it or migrating it 🙁
A few years back, I found a copy of The 7th Guest in a box of discs that came from my dad’s place. It wasn’t something I ever got and he never got into games so I honestly have no idea where they came from. They don’t even appear to have been taken out of the disc sleeves.
And they turned out great! Will definitely make them again! 🙂
So one part of the game has you building a catapult to launch yourself across a large gap. It was a blast! I wonder what the limit is on catapult size. Only one way to find out! 😀
Nope, not region locked! Will check it out!
It’s really good, much better than the the previous game. They even filled some plot holes that they created, such as why the Rito and Zora exist together when the former evolved from the latter.
I was working on getting some chests I missed yesterday in the starter area but wound up falling after grabbing them to the wrong part of the map. I could have fast traveled back but meh. I wound up landing close to a village so I’ll just go ahead and spend the hour or so trekking to it so I can unlock it before I go back to the first dungeon. 😛
Unlike the first game, a lot of things don’t unlock unless you do at least one dungeon first. Was working on that before I took a break to grab the chests after being launched into the sky. I have a hard time landing where I want during the launches and often wind up a region away 😛
Yeah, Nintendo mostly just develops for their own systems outside of a few mobile games. It would be nice on the computer but I can understand their reasoning.
Oh! Here are some helpful Windows bits:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/Cool! I think Roku has Trilogy of Terror so will add it to the watchlist! I really enjoy these older horror films. Much better than more recent ones! I’m also finding I enjoy the unrated ones more than ones with ratings as they’re not as constrained by the ratings outfits so they’re able to put more into them. Some of it is budget related, too 😛
Saw Cannibal Girls yesterday. It was a really good thriller but I wouldn’t call it a comedy. It did have a few chuckles in it but if there was more, it was lost on me.
Roku has a lot of horror classics available on the Roku Channel!
I liked Robot Wars a lot. I haven’t seen it in almost ten years! Yeah, it and Battle Bots come and go over here. At the high school level, the equivalents have been going strong for a while but upper level competitions don’t seem to last. Really makes me sad 🙁
Ooh, looks scrumptious! I have everything but the apricots. Will check the store for them! 🙂
I really do need to add a low protein flour to my cupboard. Would probably greatly improve the piecrusts!
Definitely! A few years ago, I was gifted some guava jelly and that was fabulous!
In the past, I’ve made what I call apple biscuits by taking a piecrust recipe and simply adding some baking powder to it and then wrapping the apple pieces inside. Turns out great! Sort of like dumplings but with more body 🙂
Saw Puppet Master yesterday and that was fun. They really did a good job with the puppets!
It’s on the parts where it says, “Last post was so and so ago” and it occurs with all posts but only when logged out. When I’m logged in, the relative timestamps are updated normally when I refresh. Not occurring now but I’ll try running the tools later when I can properly test it 🙂
Definitely. Back when I had cable, I was a big fan of some of the stuff SyFy would crank out, such as their fantasy films. Wasn’t a big fan of their stuff like Sharktopus, though. That was kind of pushing it a bit 😛
😀 I think these are just visually styled and probably of better quality in terms of materials than the cheap set (but highly rated and very stylish) I ordered off of Amazon. Always good to have a nice looking set around!
Yep! Got it in the garage! Need to move it to an outlet after I organize the garage better, though, so that I have better access to my tools but I’ll get there!
Here’s one that’s pretty uplifting:
Not sure, I haven’t watched Part 2 yet. They split up the film version into two films and the deaths all happen in the second one. There was no mention of a memorial being erected in the story either which was kind of strange.
Yeah, the short life is rather undesirable. My smoke detector has motion sensing but the batteries last well over five years with that feature turned on. Granted, it uses six or eight AAs so that may have something to do with it.
Yeah, sounds dreadful 😛
Saw this one yesterday and it was a really well done ghost story. Highly recommended if you’re into that sort of thing 🙂
The comic shop has just started carrying some cool looking dice. I may need to upgrade my set!
So I was hunting in the woods in Zelda the other day and came across a cool new enemy: the Evermean. It’s a living tree! I shot it with a fire arrow to set it aflame and then chopped it down with an axe. I kind of overdid it but I wasn’t sure if it had any special properties so I wanted to be sure to take it down 😛
Got the workbench assembled and it’s already being put to use. Painting something right now on it!
And finished the last Potter book. It picked up about two-thirds of the way through but the ending was intentionally chaotic. Every character from all the books in the series that was still alive showed up. I didn’t like how many characters were killed off at the end, though. That was quite a downer.
Will take a look at Rampage. It’s actually been on Hulu’s home page for a few weeks now, pestering me to watch it 😛
Sorry! I watched the original one. I really need to get better at linking the film pages 😛
Documentary Now! is locked behind a paywall here. 🙁 Hopefully I’ll get to watch it at some point!
Will keep an eye out for Portlandia!
I’ve noticed that horror films from independent studios tend to be a bit more fun than those from the big names. At least, I tend to like them more. 😛
For some reason, though, I have a hard time enjoying newer horror films. Anything made since 2010, I find strangely boring. Not sure why. I really should get back to watching decent stuff again, though 😛
