It’s on the list! Going to wait for a sale, though. π
I do quite enjoy the freedom of NMS and how it doesn’t have a story or anything. It does have rudimentary quests but they’re mostly designed to introduce you to the game elements. It’s not exactly an RPG, mostly a survival and space exploration game π
Probably not. Now, Discworld would make a fun anime series. Surprised they haven’t done an adaption yet!
Strange! I wonder if some of the fumes have neutralized the odor?
Yay! He is missing many of the older ones from the pre-Geforce days. They may have been removed by the original author, though. I lost track of the site around 2013 :/
In particular, his article analyzing the visual effects various graphical settings had were quite beneficial!
Rooting does give you more access to the underlying Linux system and lets you do things you wouldn’t otherwise be able to do, such as interface with your computer. It’s mostly for tinkerers and not all devices are easily rootable. In order to continue to update the software, you’ll need to unlock the bootloader and then install a custom ROM which will wipe the system. I’m not sure if that requires rooting or not, though.
Yeah, e-waste is a big problem. Fortunately, there are recycling programs that exist (not too widespread, sadly). Generally, it’s recommended to contact the manufacturer to see what their recycling recommendations are. Often, you need to send them off somewhere which isn’t always practical.
It’s best to keep the old device online until you transfer all the credentials over. Newer devices do have a data transfer tool that will copy most things over but you’ll still need to set up some of the accounts afterwards π
Yep, I highly recommend it if you’re up for something campy!
Haven’t seen it myself but I have been wanting to see it for a while. It is somewhat famous, though, for slapping a ton of makeup on Tim Curry!
Could be!
Haven’t had much chance to watch much lately with everything going on but I am enjoying Midsomer Murders. π
Oh, yes, amazing music!
So I read the first book in the Wheel of Time series and it wasn’t exactly my cup of tea. I found it way too similar to Lord of the Rings for my tastes. The plot was almost a carbon copy without all the fantasy creatures so it didn’t really feel all that original.
I could try it on Linux, certainly! It’s really just VR that must be done on Windows due to how the driver layers work π
Cracked used to be good but I haven’t checked in on them in at least ten years while The Onion is always a hoot! π¦
Could be! π
I do want to get back to writing in there. Maybe the new features will help give me inspiration!
I’ve always liked NMS but, now, things are a lot livelier! π
Was testing load temperatures today while playing No Man’s Sky (they’re much lower than I expected in the 70 – 80 C range) to see if I should consider doing some cooking upgrades and, while mining. The rock grew legs and ran away! They’ve changed the game a lot since I last played π
I was at the store the other day and saw they had the Mad Film Special compilation so I went ahead and grabbed it. Have some of the content in my old issues (I remember some of the cartoons) but it should be fun!
Yep! That’s a good one! I may have to flip a coin. π
I do like the traditional covers but I also like to the get the fun ones every now and then. Such as this one. That one is great! π
But it lends a better flavor to pie crusts! I tend to use olive oil a lot when making pie crusts. Bit unorthodox but I love the strong flavor! π
The Sims 4 went free to play right before I fried the previous system so I think I’ll give it a whirl in the next week or so (finally). I do like The Sims π
Any chance it could be the video card drivers restarting? I haven’t had constant Explorer crashes since the XP days but have experienced similar behavior with bad video drivers
Really weird there was never a desktop version for YouTube shorts, so that the layout would be more like the regular length videos. All that white space, and two clicks just to get the description. So did a bit of googling to answer this question.
The purpose of which was to view this video in standard YouTube format, so the description at least is βless fuss.β Naturemapr is a nice site, if only Australia wide, spawned by a gov. dept. (so more or less provincial at that) β one would expect such an enterprise to be world-wide instead.Yeah, not a fan of the mobile interface on the desktop version. Also, autoplay is a bit annoying π
It’d be nice if they had a toggle of some sort!
Cool! I wonder if we have something like Naturemapr? Could be quite beneficial to have something like it here π
Still haven’t gotten around to installing PowerToys on this system. Will get there! Just slow π
Yeah, just tested it in simulated mobile mode here and I get the same thing. Definitely a difference in browser behavior. Really not sure how to fix it on the computer :/
Saw Jaws yesterday! It was fun but I still liked Piranha more. π
Still looking into this. On mobile, if I hit the return button while in the title text box it will take me to the content text area. What happens if you hit enter on the computer? Does it take you from the title to the content entry area? Sorry, I clean forgot to test it today!
Looks like the browsers are currently in the process of making white-space-collapse: preserve the default for text areas. It’s the default over here on the latest Chrome so perhaps we should give it a bit and see if the others catch up?
They are making progress on using DNA to store files! But, yeah, the file limitations are getting annoying, especially as file sizes increases as cameras improve.
Adorable! He’s really enjoying the sunbeam! π
Great! It’s gotten a tad warm again but it’s still much better than it was π
I still need to get the hang of emojis/special characters. Seems like I don’t have the right support package installed over here on Linux. Will get it sorted out!
Looks like the white-space-collapse property is currently in draft phase with limited support. I can always add it in and hope that full browser support will come but some oddities may be present for a while as it was only recently added to the browsers (looks like just a few months ago). Should I go ahead?
This one entered my head the other day for some reason or other:
Couldn’t tell from the picture she sent me. It was so old that the case was in pretty poor condition but the pictures on the card loaded without trouble. She said they were just vacation pictures at water areas around the state
Yep, a new ongoing has been a long time coming! I’m still relatively new to comics but I think she mostly likes to work alone. They just released the solicitations through November (and December in Batman’s case) so it’s time to start picking out covers again! Really liking some of the artwork coming out in a couple of months! π
Oh, no! That’s no fun! π
π
Yeah, my mom often gets irritated at their file size limitations. She complains all the time about the reduction in photo quality! π
I’ll take a look!
