Spastic Hamburger

  • According to this post, you can! You need to activate it in the settings on the old Reddit site, though. Weird 😛

The new update is gorgeous! Sure, we have giant planets all next door and smaller ones that haven’t been captured as moons. Not exactly accurate in terms of astrophysics but that’s okay!

In related news, X4: Foundations is currently…[Read more]

Sadly, it’s all opt-out if they even let you. Really getting tired of forced AI content on the web 🙁

It’s not really the browser, it’s on Google’s search results. Bing has similar issues. When I typed in Beetlejuice just now on Bing, one of the suggested search results called it an “American Actor” instead of a film. Ugh.

I smelled and saw a…[Read more]

I think part of it is that people are beginning to realize how far AI has to go. I have a lot of issues with it myself. Since Google added AI summaries to the search results page, I’ve been having more issues finding what I need. I find that the summaries are worded in strange ways that I find difficult to understand, or even inaccurate, and find…[Read more]

  • Ugh. Have you tested just the Kogan? I see you tested the Philips on its own

Somewhat related but I still haven’t flipped the setting for HDR in my monitor’s setting menu (not the Windows one but the one built in to the monitor). Honestly not sure if I’ll ever get around to it

  • NMS update just landed! It looks incredible!

  • Yep, we get those too! Most of them are shown on the Hallmark Channel. The ones on streaming are a bit…worse 😛

Finished up Fallout yesterday. It was pretty fun at the end but still left me wanting for more. They did a good job of showing more of the varying vault personalities and the strife between factions. Fortunately, we’re getting another…[Read more]

  • Yeah, Windows is hit or miss with regards to obeying the driver update settings. Though, the policy setting is almost always obeyed. It’d be less annoying if WU would actually update intelligently instead of “updating” a user installed driver to an older version in the WU Update Catalogue 😛

On Linux, you can downgrade any package (kernel,…[Read more]

  • Good to know that nothing is seriously broken 🙂

I still haven’t played Eternal Darkness. It really needs to be released again 🙁

  • Hogwarts Legacy is getting a huge update on January 30th that also includes modding tools. Why they mostly do annual updates is beyond me but at least we’re getting continual support!

  • The only one I’ve really avoided is On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Not sure why I keep skipping it but I should really watch it at some point. For Your Eyes Only was pretty fun. It has the best anti-theft system you’ll find:

And let’s not forget the legendary Andre!

Ooh, good cast. Not available in…[Read more]

  • The last time I used AI Suite, it was pretty slow. Granted, this was about a decade ago or so. Fortunately, Microsoft is working on a package manager for Windows so that should help streamline everything. The unified interface for managing everything else, though, is definitely a good idea. In that regard, Windows really lags behind Linux.

    On the…[Read more]

About to finish Service Model. It’s a hilarious take on the robot apocalypse with tons of pop culture references. Highly recommended! My biggest issue is that I can read a book in a day or two so it’s hard for me to keep up with finding new stuff. Kobo’s algorithm has started breaking down and giving me the same stuff, most of which isn’t…[Read more]

  • Looks like Lorcana has some potentially huge changes coming in a couple of weeks: https://lorcanaplayer.com/dual-ink-cards-changed-set-champs-prizing/

Will be talking to our organizers today. Can say that the new dual ink cars will cause a huge stir. How much of one depends on the effects of the new cards but it’ll be huge down the road. And I…[Read more]

  • Yeah, will try that soon. Just tried capping the frame rate in Adrenaline and it didn’t exactly go well. It caused a lot of lag, visual anomalies, and the game still crashed so I reset the setting back to the defaults. I may have to try switching the monitor’s refresh rate at some point. Assuming I don’t just give up and grab Fallout 4 first…[Read more]

Read Dark Matter a couple of months ago. 🙂 It was pretty fun and I liked the bit in the chatroom that was essentially a callback to Bender’s Big Score when an infinite number of them start popping up before he kills the chatroom.

Also read Recursion a while back. Not his best book, honestly. Great characters and interaction but the premise…[Read more]

Here’s an interesting idea: in theory, a darker sheet should decrease the risk of freeze damage more than a lighter colored one as it’ll absorb more photonic energy. Definitely worth testing at some point.

The test would be pretty simple: get a collection of very sensitive plants and split them into three groups: a control and one each for the…[Read more]

  • May have been a renewal hiccup. Now all of the subdomains are showing up as they should in the certificate information with the next renewal set for April. I know in the Linode, it would sometimes take a day or so for the renewal to complete. Never did figure out why. It occurred even when I would run the command manually

  • Didn’t even notice that omission. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it. It’s too bad hovercraft never took off, they were quite useful. The issue with wind was probably too big of a problem for them to have good staying power, though. Lakes and such get a lot of wind!

Just went on a Wiki journey and found out the DC did a Superboy TV show that I…[Read more]

  • So that’s what it’s called! Here’s a bit of a list of credits for what the piece is used in: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0006309/ It’s used a lot!

Will see if I can catch them over here!

Still making my way through the Bond films. Hit the Roger Moore era the other day. It’s quite different from the Connery era but I like it for its cheesiness.…[Read more]

Read Blake Crouch’s Run the other day. It was a brutal book and only recommended if you’re in the mood for something that gets the heart pounding. It’s really heavy.

Working on prepping for the upcoming cold blast. Weather report is not consistent with precipitation. The weekly forecast says 20% but the hourly says 80% so it’s pretty confusing.…[Read more]
